THE BACKSTORY

True Paralegal Consulting is owned and operated by April Emery in Sarasota, Florida.  I am certified paralegal (CP) and a Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP).  Prior to founding True Paralegal Consulting, I worked as a litigation paralegal in a law office Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.  In addition to the many years of experience I had as a paralegal working in an office, I also have several years of experience working in a remote or virtual law firm environment.  True Paralegal Consulting was created to provide virtual freelance paralegal support to Florida licensed attorneys (or to individuals represented by an attorney) so the attorneys can grow their practice and improve their personal work-life balance without committing to hiring a full-time employee.  In turn, I can perform all the aspects of my paralegal job that I love the most while maintaining a happy work-life balance.  I also have time to invest in learning new things and time to spend with my family.

True Paralegal Consulting is based in Sarasota, Florida and operates virtually to offer freelance paralegal services to attorneys in good standing with the Florida Bar.  Document organization services are also offered to non-lawyer individuals represented by an attorney to aid them in the discovery phase of litigation, at the direction of their attorney.

April Emery, founder of True Paralegal Consulting, has over 17 years of experience supporting attorneys in the above-listed areas of civil law, primarily in estate and trust litigation matters.
